iLovetoCreate Challenge - Tulip Beads in a Bottle

The Designer Crafts Connection Blog Hop group has partnered with iLovetoCreate for July’s challenge! iLovetoCreate provided 30 designers from this group with Tulip’s Beads in a Bottle and challenged us to create something unique to share.  We are proud to share our projects with you and hopefully inspire you to give Tulip's Beads in a Bottle a try!    Click on the Designer Crafts Connection link to the right, or visit the iLovetoCreate link below and directly hop to the participating designer's blogs.

For my project, I created a fun and funky summer bracelet.  The colors of the Gemstone Collection set I received to work with matched this button from Blumenthal Lansing perfectly - which got my creative muse thinking......

Supplies:

The wooden bangle was given a coat of Black Pearl Shimmer Opaque and allowed to dry.   Working with one color at a time, and allowing drying time between colors, I used the Tulip® Beads in a Bottle™ Paint  to create similar swirls to those on the acrylic buttons in assorted sizes on the painted bangle.   Once all colors were dry, a fine point Sharpee marker was used to doodle swirls around some of the Beads swirls.  Elmer's Craft Bond Adhesive was used to mount three of the buttons, at evening spaced intervals, onto the finished bangle.

iLovetoCreate is also offering a chance for YOU to win an awesome stash of products - to find out how to enter visit iLovetoCreate's blog here:  http://ilovetocreateblog.blogspot.com/2011/06/beads-in-bottle-blog-hop.html
