Fellow designer Eileen Hull has a great new line of dies available from Sizzix! She and several other designers have been hosting a fantastic weekly blog hop highlighting projects made from each of the dies! I was lucky enough to receive a package of die cuts to tinker with - and have had fun experimenting! This week's focus was on the frame die - here's my interepretation. It's Egyptian theme came from the photo of my husband and youngest son after they rode the Mummy ride at Universal Studios. The frame itself was cut from golden textured metallic mattboard. I simply stamped an assortment of Egtyptian images collage style on the front and back, embossed with Egyptian Treasure embossing powder (sort of veridgris green) and added some fibers and hand made Makin's Clay beads. The frame itself is held together with square copper brads. I love these little frames - I think they'd make great little thank you's for teachers, gifts for grandparents at Easter or any holiday with a holiday photo, etc. Check out the other designers' blogs for more inspiration using Eileen's new dies!
